Artist's Comments

This is the Byron Bay Lighthouse in northern New South Wales. It is a great piece of architecture, intricate, detailed and very interesting. I find it an extremely photogenic building, as its stark whiteness stands out wonderfully against a bright blue sky. It stands at the eastern-most point of Australia, hence drawing thousands of visitors each day. No doubt there have been hundreds of thousands of photographs taken at this location, I enjoyed it very much. I prefer to shoot the angles of the building, it shows it in a different light, modern, even though it has been there many years.
